Experiencing Changes?
Emotional, behavioral, or physical changes are common after a sexual assault. Taking care of yourself emotionally, physically, and mentally is important. Try to find safe places and people to surround yourself with. Remember what happened to you is not your fault. You did not deserve to be assaulted.
Our advocates help provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and resources to help someone on their pathway to safety. Some of these resources include legal navigation, safety planning, medical advocacy, and court support.
Our Counselor assists with learning about trauma, identifying healthy coping mechanisms, and building self-esteem and trust. We use an empowerment-based, non-judgmental approach that keeps survivors' needs at the center.
